New Homes

Newly constructed homes can earn incentives as well. By signing an intent to participate agreement and following the prescriptive path of requirements, new home builders can receive an incentive of up to $500.00.
Each requirement helps to ensure that the home is as energy efficient as possible. Click here to view a list of requirements for new home builders, or you may pick one up at either TVEC office.

Instant Saving
Measures

Although not eligible for rebates, there are several instant saving measures that a homeowner can perform to help curb energy consumption. Installation of laser emitting diode (LED) or compact fluorescent lighting (CFL) light bulbs and low flow shower heads (for those with well pumps) can lower elecctrical usage along with air drying laundry and adjusting thermostats and electrical appliances. Energy Star appliances and electronics when replacing existing ones are a good practice also.
